These fellowships take place in many different countries (Germany, India, United States, Egypt, and others) and cover various specialties and operating procedures. The selected candidates travel for periods of two weeks up to one year and are able to develop their skills through observations and operations alongside renowned orthopaedic surgeons.
Please check if the call for applications is open before sending your application. Only one application to one fellowship per year is allowed.
Any member applying for a Fellowship must be in good standing (with membership dues paid) for at least the previous two years. Applicants not meeting this criteria will not be eligible.
SICOT members who have already received any of the SICOT fellowships this year and last year should not apply for any Fellowship Programme.

Application for a SICOT Fellowship
Any SICOT member can apply to start a fellowship at their hospital/institution. For this, the fellowship coordinator must be a SICOT member with yearly dues paid. The Fellowship program must provide some sponsorship for the fellow (free accommodation, stipend,…).
For any applications, the following documents must be sent back to the SICOT Fellowships Secretariat ([email protected])
1. The application form must be filled in
2. A recommendation letter from the country SICOT National Representative or from the SICOT Regional Vice-President
3. A recommendation letter from the country local Orthopaedics Assocation.
Once these documents have been received, the SICOT Fellowships Committee will review the application. The candidate will then be invited to attend the next SICOT Fellowships Committee conference call to make a brief 5 minutes presentation of the fellowship and answer any questions.
